About Lily

Hello blog world. My name is Lillian, and I’m a part-time writer lazy-ass blogger. I’m from Puerto Rico, but I live in the super expensive wonderful state of New Jersey. (Because I was born here. And no, we are nothing like the cast of The Jersey Shore.) I started this blog mainly because I used to have always loved writing. Not because I have nothing better to do. Pssh.

There’s a little bit of everything on this blog. Random crap, funny crap, life crap, poetry crap…just crap. Crap you should totally read, as I fight against my constant writer’s block. Don’t let that stop you! Sometimes, things pop into my head and I go, “Oooh! I MUST remember that one for my blog!” And then I forget, and it makes me sad, and then I get angry, so then I cut myself…just kidding. I probably shouldn’t joke about that. So yeah…thanks for stopping by! I’m sorry.

  2. Greetings from another Jersey girl! Something I do to avoid forgetting funny sayings I hear or funny thoughts I might have, is to carry a note pad and pen in my purse (or as we say in New Jersey, pocketbook!). In fact, this is reminding me to pull out my notepad and have a look. It might contain this week’s post!

    1. Hi fellow Jersey girl! Thanks so much for stopping by. I agree about being prepared. If anything, I could always take notes on my phone as well. The problem is a lot of these things pop up while I’m in bed and too lazy to get up to write, or in the shower. Just bad timing! 😉

    1. Hm…well I think picking a name is hard. The first thing that popped into my head was “don’t quote me” because I had a feeling I might blog about controversial things every now and then. So I made it “don’t quote lily” since the first one was taken. 😉 Thanks for stopping by.

        Man, I miss those days too. But I talk about wanting to write and blogging a lot, more recently, so I’ve been encouraged to do it, but whether I can find 3.5 loyal readers again, only time will tell…

        1. I’m sure you can! If you come back maybe I’ll be motivated to try too. Things are so hectic at the moment I quite literally have no time for myself. But maybe quieter days will come. I sure miss the simplicity of reading and writing even for a small audience. Sigh. 😊😊😊

          1. I live in a home with a daycare, 6 children under 3 for 43 hours a week, so I have SOME idea.
            Just start small. Once a week, ~100 words, or a poem when you feel inspired.
            As usual, I should take my own advice. My last post was on the 2nd and it’s not because I haven’t been writing (off and on) but the one I’m writing is approaching 3000 words. I’m done with the writing but now I’ve got to add links and tags and perhaps images.
            Anyway, just know that whenever you do, you can count on at least one dedicated reader/commenter here!
